Paris, Île-de-France, France - Full-time
As part of the Algorithms and Distributed Quantum Computing Team in Paris, you will be an integral part of Welinq’s quantum computing research team. You will work on designing quantum algorithms that leverage distributed and multi-core architectures to tackle complex computational challenges. As a Quantum Algorithms Researcher, you will join our growing R&D team to:
Conduct cutting-edge research in the domain of quantum algorithms and in particular distributed quantum computation, with an emphasis on scalability, fault-tolerance, and performance optimization.
Translate theoretical quantum algorithms into practical implementations, collaborating closely with our quantum hardware and software teams; as well as end-users of quantum computing and quantum computer providers.
Dive into the analysis and optimization of quantum algorithms, using formal tools from quantum information theory, in order to maximize their efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate between our multi-disciplinary team of quantum physicists, engineers, and software developers to explore the synergies between quantum hardware and algorithms.
Keep up-to-date with the latest research in quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum networking and distributed computing. Apply state-of-the-art technique to drive our quantum research forward.
Prepare and publish research papers, presenting findings at conferences and contributing to the quantum science and technology community.
Potentially lead and mentor a team of researchers in the future.
A PhD in Quantum Computing, Quantum Networking, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
Background on quantum computing and/or quantum information.
Familiarity with leading quantum software platforms and tools for quantum computing.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex computational challenges.
Academic achievements and publications in quantum algorithms or distributed quantum computing will be highly valued.
Experience in quantum algorithm research and hands-on experience in quantum algorithm design will be highly valued.
Experience in Quantum Error Correction will be highly valued.
Experience in distributed quantum computing will be considered as a significant advantage.
