The job

We are seeking an HR Lead to shape Welinq’s culture and help foster a positive, high-performing work environment. As a key member of our Leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our HR strategy aligns with business goals, overseeing recruitment processes, team performance, and employee satisfaction. You will be at the forefront of driving our HR initiatives, including first-stage interviews, performance monitoring, and cultivating a culture that supports both innovation and employee well-being.

Responsibilities

As part of the leadership team, you will play a key role in our scaling efforts and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Cultural Leadership: Shape and nurture Welinq’s company culture to foster an inclusive, innovative, and collaborative environment that aligns with our mission and growth trajectory.
  • Team Performance Management: Monitor and assess team performance, collaborating with department leads to identify areas for improvement and professional development.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Design and facilitate smooth onboarding processes, ensuring new hires integrate seamlessly into the team and company culture.
  • Employee Engagement Initiatives: Develop and implement innovative strategies to boost employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention, creating a thriving workplace.
  • HR Strategy: Partner with leadership to define and execute HR strategies that align with organizational goals, including workforce planning and talent management.
  • Talent Acquisition and Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment process, including conducting initial interviews and managing the recruitment pipeline to attract and secure top-tier talent that fits our company culture.

Required qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR or talent acquisition role, in a startup.
  • Proven experience in defining company culture and driving HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Strong track record of managing recruitment processes, including conducting interviews and evaluating candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HR tools and systems, including performance management and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • English proficiency is required; French is a strong plus.
