Mathys is a computer scientist developing new approaches to distributed quantum computing. He obtained a PhD from Radboud University in the Netherlands, on quantum programming languages and their mathematical formalism. He has worked since on developing quantum algorithms for near-term quantum architectures, at the University of Amsterdam and at Leiden University. He then joined INRIA, in Paris, to work on quantum error mitigation. Joining Welinq, he is now identifying the best practices in distributed quantum programming and in the development of distributed quantum algorithms.
